Woodland Cemetery Cleanup

On Saturday, September 10 from 9-12 noon, you are invited to help maintain the grounds at the Historic Woodland Cemetery. Volunteers can reach the cemetery by taking I-64 east and exiting at the Mechanicsville Turnpike/US 360 east exit to arrive at 2300 Magnolia Road.

Upon arrival, volunteers will complete a waiver form, hear a brief historical background about the cemetery, and then be assigned a section of the grounds for work.

All tools will be provided. Volunteers are reminded to wear sturdy shoes, appropriate clothing for working on grounds—including gloves, hat, protective eyewear. Water, sunscreen, insect repellant are also helpful to have.

We look forward to seeing you at the cemetery. Any questions, email Bill Pike:  bpike@trinityrva.net.

Pastor’s Bible Study

Pastor’s Bible Study

The Pastor’s Wednesday afternoon study will resume on January 10 at 1:30 PM with “The Gospel of Mark”.

Long ago the church decided that mark offers meaningful insights to those who want to follow Jesus. This Gospel presents a particular perspective on what God is doing int he world through Jesus of Nazareth and tells us how people ought to respond to what God is doing if they desire to be faithful.

Mark presents these insights through its narrative. The Gospel writer did not set out to write something akin to a modern historical account of the life of Jesus. Nor did the writer compose a theology book. Instead the writer tells a story. Mark’s Gospel is a good story for us, if we allow it to be.

Current Protocols

COVID Protocols (Effective March 6, 2022)

The Healthy Church Team (HCT) continues our given task of monitoring and adjusting policies in response to the Covid-19 pandemic.    We continue to closely monitor Covid metrics in the Henrico/Richmond area, public policy and guidance from public health officials.  We know that all are weary and looking toward normalcy.  We so very much want to be together.  In view of declining Covid-19 numbers and case outcomes, we believe that we can now make changes to our church mitigation policies.  These policies are effective for worship and all other activities at the church, including Trinity Preschool:

  • While the HCT recommends that individuals continue to follow CDC and Virginia Department of Health guidance for masking while indoors, masks will not be required.
  • The exception for our worship services will be the Sanctuary balcony. The balcony will a space for those who prefer to be in proximity to other masked persons.  In the balcony, masks correctly worn (covering both nose and mouth) are required.  Please do not lower your mask to sing or speak.  In addition, we request that those worshipping in the balcony continue to observe social distancing practices.
  • Regular worship services (both 9 am and 11 am) will continue to be livestreamed.
  • There will no longer be restrictions on food or drink.
